It's September - Let's get back to our meetings!

Saturday, September 15, 2012......10:00 a.m. - Noon

Please note this change in the location this class will be held.  Because of meetings to be held at our regular home, our September meeting only will be held at the - FLOOD STREET CHAPEL - 85 SOUTH 400 EAST IN ST. GEORGE.

We have invited Dennis Weist to present this meeting.  Dennis is currently teaching classes at the St. George FamilySearch Library on 'Family Tree from FamilySearch.org'.   Family Tree will soon replace newfamilysearch.org.  The change is taking shape and it is time for everyone to start learning Tree.   At some time new.familysearch.org will be taken off the system.

Dennis has been teaching this class for several weeks and is very knowledgeable in the current program and what can be expected.  If you have already started working with Tree, or haven't looked at all, this presentation will be for you.

Saturday, November 17, 2012 - 10:00a.m. - Noon

Our November class will be presented by Max Turpin, and he will present two subjects.  Find-A-Grave and Drop-Box.

Both of these subjects are a great tool in doing our Family History.   Find-A-Grave continues to grow and having the option of contacting a Find-A-Grave volunteer in the area where your person has been buried can be very helpful.   If your person is not on the web site currently, a volunteer may be able to go out to the cemetery, find the grave site, and take pictures to share.  Drop Box is a way to store and share your files.   Documents, pictures, whatever you have on your computer.   And -we're told it's safe.   Come and learn how these two programs can work for you.
